Food Preservation 101: Canning
Are you interested in canning but don’t know where to start? Then this is the workshop for you. Learn the difference between boiling water bath canning and pressure canning, see the tools used for canning, learn about the process of preparing a jar for the canner and see many examples of canned goods. If the weather permits we will use an outdoor propane burner to process jars in a pressure canner. Participants can return to the library the the next day to pick up his/her sealed jar. If the weather is “iffy” the instructor will demonstrate how to use a pressure canner.

Story Time is also every Wednesday morning at 10:30 AM. The last Story Time until October is Wednesday, May 29.
Also, our summer hours are beginning soon! Our last open Saturday will be May 18. Saturday hours will resume in October.
