Are you interested in preserving food by canning but don’t know where to start? This is a great program to hear what canning is all about and how to get started. Learn about the difference between high and low acid foods and when to use a boiling-water canner vs. a pressure canner. You will also see canning tools, learn about the process of preparing a jar for the canner and see many examples of canned goods. This program is presented by Master Food Preserver, Barb Brenner. Barb has been canning most of her life, starting out canning along side her mother and as a 4-H member. She has been teaching canning classes for many years. Food preservation is a passion of Barb’s and she loves to share her knowledge with others. Join us to hear how you can can. Bring your questions.
