This program is presented by Master Food Preserver\, Barb Brenner. She has been teaching food preservation classes for many years and is a CCE certified Master Food Preserver. DESCRIPTION:Wednesday 6/22/2022 10:30-12:30 PM \nRepeated on Thursday 6/23/2022 6:30-8:30 PM \nLocation: Lima Library meeting room \nCost: Free \nRegistration: No sign up needed. \nDehydrated foods are a great way to make snacks and also to preserve a garden’s harvest or a bounty from a farmer’s market.  Vegetables such as kale\, swiss chard\, onion and tomatoes can be dried and used year round.  Dried herbs are the best in recipes and homemade garlic powder is to die for!  Beef can be dried into jerky or ground and dried for use in meals on a backpacking trip.  We will explore what features to look for when buying in a dehydrator and how to dry various foods. This program is presented by Master Food Preserver\, Barb Brenner. She has been teaching food preservation classes for many years and is a CCE certified Master Food Preserver. Food preservation is a passion of Barb’s and she loves to share her knowledge with others. Join us to hear how easy it is to dry various foods.
